BioBlitz at Lake County Farm Park

June 23, 2018 @ 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Milwaukee Public Museum is sponsoring the very first BioBlitz in Dane County at Lake Farm County Park!  Over one hundred scientists from many different fields of study will identify as many plant and animal species as possible within a 24-hour period.

Spiders, insects, mammals, plants, fish, reptiles and many other species will be identified.

Come to Lake Farm Park on Saturday with the entire family to see what scientists have discovered and to learn more about biodiversity!  Use microscopes, see critters, and enjoy kids’ activities & games.

Also enjoy UW Arboretum’s citizen science exhibit, Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s skins & skulls exhibit, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District’s Water Exhibit, a prairie walk, DNR exhibit, and interesting Museum curator displays. Pick up free native seeds in support of biodiversity in your own backyard from Dane County Parks!
